Lipitor (Atorvastatin) belongs to the HMG CoA reductase inhibitors, or statins, class of medicines. USES

  3. Take this medication by mouth once a day, with or without food, as instructed by your doctor.

  6. Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice while taking this medication.

  8. If you’re taking other cholesterol-lowering medications (bile acid-binding resins like cholestyramine or colestipol), take atorvastatin at least 1 hour before or 4 hours after you take them.

DOSAGE
