Lexapro (escitalopram )is an antidepressant used to treat depression and generalized anxiety disorder. It helps in optimizing serotonin levels in the body. It belongs to the class of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors.

How to use  

Use This medicine as directed by your doctor.

Take this medicine with or without food. Taking Lexapro at the same time each day will help you remember it. Continue to take Lexapro even if you feel well. Do not miss any doses. Do not stop taking Lexapro suddenly without checking with your doctor.

Dosage

Lexapro is generally prescribed to be taken once a day. The usual dose for adults and children is 10–20 mg. It is not suitable for everyone as it can have harmful effects on people suffering from certain conditions.

Missed dose
