Triquilar is a hormonal tablet used for contraception in contraceptive methods. It is used only for emergency contraception and works within 120 hours of having unprotected sex. Its effectiveness decreases after this period. It is also used in birth transplantation and hormone replacement therapy (in combination with estrogen).
Triquilar Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Prevention of pregnancy, Reducing or preventing short-term changes of menopause, Avoiding pregnancy within 72 hours of unprotected sex For, endocrine contraception, failure of ovarian development, recurrent miscarriage, menopause.
If you miss a dose, take the dose as soon as you remember. If the time for your next dose is near, skip the missed dose and resume your dosage schedule. Do not take extra medicine to make up for the missed dose.
Overdosage of Triquilar Tablet
Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Using more medication will not improve your symptoms, rather it can cause serious side effects.
When not to use Triquilar Tablet
Hypersensitivity to Triquilar Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, Triquilar Tablet should not be taken if you have the following conditions: History of severe arterial disease, pregnancy, adenoma, suspected painful malignancy of the genitals/breasts, liver disease, thromboembolic disorders, jaundice during a previous pregnancy.
The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Triquilar Tablet. These side effects are possible, but not always. Some side effects may be rare, but severe. Consult your doctor if you notice any of the following side effects and if these do not end. Acne, amenorrhea, anaphylactic reactions, cervical erosion, cholestatic jaundice, colitis, edema, breast pain.
Before using this medicine, provide your doctor with information about your current medications, following products such as vitamins, herbal supplements, etc., allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (eg: pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.) Do Certain health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side effects of the drug. Take the medicine according to your doctor’s instructions. The dosage is based on your condition. If your condition does not improve or if your condition worsens, tell your doctor.
If you take other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Tricular Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side effects or because of this your medicine may not work well. Tell your doctor about all the medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that your doctor can help you avoid the side effects of the drug. Tricular Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products such as Aminoglutethimide, Barbiturates, Bosentan.
